I want you to believe me when I tell you I know exactly where you are
That through every experience, I’ve brought you this far
I want you to believe me when I say that I will always show you my undying love
As your loving heavenly Father above
That I hear you begging me to take away your pain
That you think I’m being silent in my answers, and it causes you to feel like you’re going insane
I want you to believe me when I say that even though I promised I would
and you don’t understand why, if I so easily could
Take away the hurt you are feeling
And through it all, promise you’ll find meaning
I want you to believe me when I say that it’s all in my timing down to the last hour
That I have a plan for you, and to change it is not in your power
That I see things that you have no way of knowing
And through these darker times are seasons for growing
I want you to believe me when I say
I promise, I would never really want you to feel this way
It was not in my original plan
To make you feel like I don’t understand
I want you to believe me when I say that I didn’t plan it, but I will allow this pain
In hopes you will see the sunlight through some times of rain
I want you to believe me when I say I’m not ignoring you
That I’m there with you always, no matter what you do
That if you seek my face
I will fill you with my love and truth in every place
I want you to believe me when I say that even if you believe and follow me, I don’t promise an easy life
Without suffering or pain and strife
That you live in a fallen world and I never wanted this for you at all
But, because I love you, I will pick you up when you fall
I want you to believe me when I say even if you try to do most everything my way
There are going to be far less than perfect days
That right now you don’t have life’s experiences to look back on and see
That all along, I had you right where I wanted you to be
I want you to believe me when I say that this is a small part of your life that you’re focusing on
And before you know this time will be gone.
That I will help fight your battles as if they were mine
And in the long run, things will work out just fine
I want you to believe me when I say I would take away your pain if I could
To make it so you didn’t have to go through this and feel misunderstood
That it’s ok to be angry with me and throw you hands up asking why
And that it’s ok to cry
I want you to believe me when I say I know and will wipe every tear you cry
And I hear every question asking why
That I know it’s hard to feel lonely
And that I will use the things you go through to build your testimony
I want you to believe me when I say that if you haven’t been in this place before, too
Then how would you have any clue?
You wouldn’t be able to ever one day help others see
If I didn’t strategically place you where I wanted you to be
I want you to believe me when I say you couldn’t show others my love if you didn’t first understand
That all along you have been safe in My hands
That this season will soon pass away
And tomorrow has new things to look forward to each day
I want you to believe me when I say that I know your purpose and are preparing you to find the path you’ll take
That I have your whole life planned for you already knowing every step you’ll make
I want you to believe me when I say that I know your plans worked out perfectly in your head
But, I promise mine will be far better instead
That I promise, I can see the big picture through all of this
And there isn’t a moment in your life that I will miss
I want you to believe me when I say, “I know the end from the beginning.”
That living a life with me, you’re life is worth living
I promise my child you will look back and see my work in your life all along
My ways are perfect and are never wrong
I want you to believe me when I say I have a purpose for everything under the sun
I will be with you always until your time on this earth is done
I want you to believe me when I tell how much I love you, even the times you feel you can’t hear my voice
That I’m proud of you to keep making the same choice
To follow me even when it’s not clear,
To believe my word even when I don’t feel near
That this is the meaning of Faith in what you cannot see
That even when you don’t understand, you choose to still follow me
My love for you gives you choice
While at the same time giving you a voice
I won’t force you to read my words and follow Me where I want you to go
I won’t ever take away your control
I want you to choose to love Me and give me your heart
Because I have been here with you from the start
My love for you will always give you the space
To realize I created you in My image in the first place
Because of this, you will always long to be connected to me
I’ll wait for you to take my hand and realize you’re free
Because I sent My son to pay the price for you even though you may choose not to love me in return
I want you to believe me when I tell you My love is never something you will have to earn
It’s always been there free for the taking
When you take my hand and walk away from the enemy of this world and his lies and destruction, he’s been making
I want you to believe me that I’m listening and understand when you don’t feel heard
And I’m expressing my love for you through your mom, using these words.
